Knowledge is Power
At the end of each program, students will be prepared for entry-level employment in acute, sub-acute and long-term care facilities or in Doctor’s offices as an EKG-Tech, Nurse Aide/Assistant, as Patient Care Assistant (PCA) or as a Phlebotomist Tech as designated in some hospitals. After successful completion of the 120hours in basic EKG, 104 required hours of nurse aide training or 135 hours of phlebotomy training, the student will be qualified for the Texas State CNA certification examination which includes written exam and skill performance in a Long Term Care facility or receive a Nationally approved EKG-Tech or Phlebotomy Tech Certification which allows the student to travel around the entire United States and not need another Certification in Basic Phlebotomy.
Taking the initiative to become an EKG Tech, CNA or a Phlebotomy Tech offers immense rewards. While a certified EKG Tech, Nursing Assistant or Phlebotomy Tech is technically an entry level position, there’s really no better place to start for those who are seeking a way to get into the medical field. You will immediately begin working with real patients and plenty of opportunities for advancement. There is a growing need for EKG Techs, CNAs, and Phlebotomy Techs all across the country – the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) indicates that job growth in any of this career is excellent, with good earning potential as well. However, to become an EKG Tech, CNA or a Phlebotomy Tech, you have to have training. The completion of Providence Vocational Inc. EKG Tech CNA or Phlebotomy Tech Training program meets this requirement in order to take the TX state CNA licensing exam or Approved EKG or Phlebotomy Tech exams.
